Azalea will remain open, with in-person office space continuing at the current location, & some services will be groooooooowwwwing!!
(Ie: renewed Grief groups, In-Home services, Somatic Coaching, Family Therapy)

However, as we move into 2026, Azalea will be moving from a Group back to a Solo Practice in efforts to remain authentic to the values Azalea stands for.

It has been an incredible privilege to work with & learn from so many therapists, interns, and clients who have moved through our doors since 2020, when I expanded to meet our community’s growing needs within the pandemic.

With full transparency, we’ve faced significant difficulty continuing to serve community members in the same way over the past year. As I write this, I received yet another request for funds to be returned for Medicaid funded services already provided. Our agency is simply not large enough to sustain the systemic changes occurring at this time.

Serving community members who are uninsured and/or rely on our public healthcare is a foundational value at Azalea. Serving clients at no cost and waiving fees in legal ways due to financial distress are also core values of Azalea.

Azalea will continue to provide services to community members participating in Medicaid and Medicare. In efforts to adjust to systemic changes, I am bringing back limited Home Based Services (Medicare guidelines now require annual in-person visits, & we know travel is not always accessible). This also allows me to continue doing Pro Bono work with intent to decolonize therapy & continue the steps we’ve taken toward community reparations.

It is also important that I pay your Clinicians an Ethical income. I haven’t found a way to make this possible while participating in publicly funded healthcare at this time. Over the past few months, we have been working to transition our staff to new locations. Our wonderful clinicians are in the process of making their next steps where they are also able to serve within alignment to their own goals & passion areas with more financial stability.

All referrals to employees continuing work as Therapists will be forwarded to their new practices upon request.
